Grayson Scott "The Professor" Boucher, born June 10, 1984, in Keizer, Oregon, is a renowned American professional streetball player. Over the course of his career, Boucher has made a name for himself in the streetball world, earning the nickname "The Professor."
Early Life and Career
Boucher's passion for basketball began at a young age. He attended McNary High School and later transferred to Salem Academy, where he made all-state honors. Despite his impressive skills, Boucher received no scholarship offers in high school. He then attended Chemeketa Community College, where he played on the basketball team.

The Origin of a Legend
The Professor's nickname was more than just a moniker - it reflected his cerebral approach to the game. "They said I was schooling people on the court," he recalled, chuckling. "The way I looked at the time was because I looked like a college professor would - a nerdy white guy. The game, the way I looked, it all weighed into it."
Personal Life In April 2019, Boucher suffered a career-threatening non-contact total tear of his Achilles tendon. He also accidentally overdosed on hydrocodone and acetaminophen during rehabilitation but made a full recovery by June 2020. During his rehab period, The Professor continued to publish YouTube content, choosing not to make the injury public until August 2020.
Rise to Fame
The Professor's big break came when he attended an "open run" tryout for the AND1 Mixtape Tour in Portland, Oregon. He earned a spot on the team and quickly rose to prominence, becoming a fan favorite. By the summer of 2009, The Professor was prominently featured in the tour's marketing, appearing on the main page of its website and in various advertisements.
THE AND 1 CHAMPIONSHIP.
Many street ball fans learned of the Professor through the highly rated And 1 competition. And 1 and The Professor were inseparable. Fans of the tour couldn't help but notice the diminutive player with a giant game, consistently outmaneuvering opponents who towered over him. "If you watched And 1 players ball, you saw The Professor mixing it up with guys who were bigger than he was and making them look absolutely foolish in the process," recalled a journalist who covered the tour.
