Promiseland Festival 2024 is building up to be a significant event, with a broad and star-studded lineup spanning countries and genres. This three-day festival immersed visitors in global music and culture in the gorgeous Doug Jennings Park on the Gold Coast. From October 4 to 6, attendees can expect a mix of African, Caribbean, and worldwide sounds as the event cements its image as one of Australia's top music festivals.
The pioneer of Nigerian Afrobeats, Rema performed on stage with well-known performers like Metro Boomin, a hip-hop music producer who has defined a genre. Jorja Smith was expected to contribute her soulful UK sound, and Miguel was expected to deliver his trademark silky R&B vibe. Another great musician from Nigeria, Asake, likewise enthralled spectators with his Afrobeat fusion. Afrobeat and international sounds were celebrated at Promiseland 2024 with a stellar roster of African musicians. Rema and Asake were joined by performers such as Omah Lay, Tiwa Savage, Ruger and Shallipopi from Nigeria. Amapiano performers from South Africa, including Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, and Kamo Mphela, enlivened the festival with their upbeat house beats. Musicians from Ghana, including Black Sheriff and King Promise, also performed at the festival. Legendary Jamaican dancehall performers Beenie Man and Shenseea were added to the rich cultural blend by performing, bringing the upbeat sounds of the Caribbean to Australia. Promiseland included a significant amount of local Australian and Pacific talent in addition to foreign performers. Performers like Manu Crooks, B Wise, and Coterie highlighted the dynamic hip-hop and R&B landscape of the area.
Promiseland had a range of ticket categories that accommodated diverse tastes in terms of logistics. Three different ticket tiers were available for the festival. The General Access Pass, VIP Pass, and Promise Terrace Pass were the highest categories. The standard festival entrance was available with the General Access Pass; however, VIP Pass holders had priority access to the stage, quicker service at bars, and lavish conveniences. With priority entry, free drinks, and exclusive access to terrace opinions, the Promise Terrace Pass provided an upgraded experience with various ticket options and exclusive amenities.
Promiseland 2024 is a must-attend event for music enthusiasts seeking to immerse themselves in a multicultural weekend of dancing, rhythm, and unity. It has solidified its status as one of Australia's top festivals.
